The son of Nigeria’s former military head of state, Gen Ibrahim Babangida, Mohammed, popularly known as “IBB,” had an accident on Minna- Suleja highway in Niger State, three military officers attached to his security lost their lives, while one was seriously injured during the accident.
According to reports made available to Obinwannem News, the son of the ex-military head of state, was traveling alongside his family to Abuja. But it 2as said he escaped death as his convoy ran into an articulated vehicle, loaded with tomatoes along the Minna-Suleja road.
Further reports revealed that the military officers died in the accident after the black Prado SUV had a head collision with the articulated vehicle travelling in the opposite direction.
The eyewitness noted that IBB was travelling to the Federal Capital Territory in a Honda Space bus, with other members of his family, behind the security vehicle.
“Three soldiers died, and one was left critically injured as the convoy of Mohammed Babangida, the son of the former military head of state was involved in the accident, he was traveling to Abuja in a Honda Space bus, with other members of his family behind the security vehicle.
“No member of the Babangida family was hurt in the accident, while the injured soldier is currently recieving treatment at the National Hospital in Abuja,” an eyewitness disclosed.
