I was honoured to accept the new General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 82 Division – Peter Ndubuisi Mbah
I was honoured to greet Major General Oluyemi Thomas Olatoye, the new General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 82nd Division of the Nigerian Army, at Government House. We had a productive conversation, and I reaffirmed our administration’s commitment to Enugu State’s security.
Our zero-tolerance attitude to criminality is gradually eliminating crime, making Enugu safer for people and businesses. From the start, we saw security as the most significant threat to our economic growth, and we took decisive action by deploying technology, increasing community police, and expanding partnerships with security agencies.
The outcomes speak for themselves. Criminal networks have been dismantled, and the culprits are leaving. Our people now have a more safe environment, and investor confidence in Enugu is increasing. We will continue to prioritise security, providing our security forces with the resources they require to ensure that Enugu remains a place where businesses and people thrive.
