Unidentified gunmen have reportedly attacked Divisional Police Headquarters, Adani in Uzo Uwani, Local Government Area of Enugu, killing two officers, razing the station.
The attack was said to be carried out early hours of Wednesday.
Two police officers on duty, were reportedly killed and several others injured, while the police station was burnt.
Sources confirmed that the attack on the police station started at about 2:30am, and lasted at about one hour.
Presently, police stations in the South-East and some States in the South-South have been attacked by gunmen.
Nevertheless, the immediate former Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, accused the Indigenous People of Biafra, and its security arm, Eastern Security Network, of being behind the attacks. But, IPOB has vehemently denied the allegation.
Similarly, hoodlums, on Monday, also attacked a police headquarters in Ukpo, Anambra state.
Meanwhile, Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, had said that the recent attacks in the Southeast were the handiwork of people outside the region, planning to incite the Igbo people into war.
