Obinwannem News Gunmen Attack Yoruba Nation Agitator, Prof Akintoye's Residence

Unidentified armed gunmen have reportedly attacked the Ado-Ekiti residence of the coordinator of Yoruba self-determination group, Ilana Omo Oodua, IOO, Professor Banji Akintoye.

This development was disclosed on Tuesday at Ibadan, Oyo State, by Maxwell Adeleye, who is the Communications Secretary of Ilana Omo Oodua worldwide.

Adeleye said the attackers shot into the house from outside the gate, noting that Akintoye was not at home when the attack occurred.

”The leadership of Yoruba self-determination group, Ilana Omo Oodua, IOO, regrets to officially announce to the general public that the Ado-Ekiti residence of our leader, Prof Banji Akintoye, was under attack on Saturday, October 30, 2021.

”The attackers shot into the house after climbing a chair outside the gate.
”Fortunately, the Professor was not at home during the incident and no one was hurt.
”Bullets from AK-47 were recovered from the floor after they escaped from the ceiling.

”We have reported the incident to the Ekiti State Police Command for proper investigation and possible arrest and prosecution of the assailants,” Adeleye explained.
