Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) announced on Tuesday, a temporary closure of Muritala Muhammad Airport, Lagos, after a landing incident that occurred.

This was confirmed in a statement on Tuesday by Henrietta Yakubu, general manager, Cooperate Affairs. “The closure was due to a landing incident involving a Boeinf ZQ2325, the aircraft had a tire burst after landing,” the statement reads .

This led to the eventual evacuation of all passengers and crew that boarded the aircraft for safety reasons.

Officials of FAAN Aerodromes and fire fighting services, AIB and NAHCO were already working to ensure that the aircraft was towed out of the runway to restore it to normalcy.
