The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has offered to donate his blood for experts working to develop a vaccine against the Coronavirus in Nigeria.
The Governor announced that the state is seeking effective local solutions towards the prevention and cure of COVID-19.
The governor had tested positive for the virus and recovered from it said Black Seed and Honey helped him recover, he is advocating for the use of local products for the treatment of the disease.
“We have been advocating for local solutions to the COVID-19 pandemic in Oyo State. “So, as a COVID-19 survivor, I volunteered to donate my blood to be studied by our experts researching on the “Evaluation of Post Infection Protection against SARS-COV-2 (COVID-19) in Nigeria.” Makinde tweeted.
So far, 407 confirmed cases have been reported with 128 patients having fully recovered and discharged. Unfortunately, 12 people have died of the Coronavirus disease nationwide.
