Obinwannem News Gov Umahi orders withdrawal of banks license that obeyed sit-at-home

The Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi has directed to withdraw the license of bank operators as well as fire civil servants and confiscate shops owned by traders that observed the sit-at-home.

Many Southeast citizens have been sitting at home on Mondays, despite the suspension of the sit-at-home by the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB.

Umahi gave this directives on Sunday by Dr Kenneth Igwe, Secretary to the State Government and coordinating commissioner.

According to him, whosoever failed to report to his duty post stands to lose his job.

“Similarly, any shop or bank that fails to open business on Monday stands the risks of losing the right to operate business or banking operations in the state.

“The general public is by this announcement advised to go about their normal business without fear.

“Security agencies have been directed to patrol 24 hours in all corners of the state, all corncernd of the state, are to take note and adhere strictly to this government directive”, Umahi said
