Gov. Ortom moves to sue FG, NASS over Water Resources bill
Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has threatened to drag the Federal Government and National assembly to court over the controversial water Resources bill which was also rejected by National Assembly in the year 2018, saying that such move will fast track disunity in the country.
This is even as Obinwannem earlier reported that Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC and Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka has also condemned National Assembly for trying to pass the bill through the back door, calling on Nigerians to reject the bill noting that the bill will spell doom in the country if passed into law.
Meanwhile, Governor Ortom and others pleaded with the head of the National Assembly not to resurrect the bill or cause it to be passed into law because according to them it portends danger to the national unity of Nigeria.
