Former governor of Imo State and Senator representing Imo West, Rochas Okorocha, has been arrested by security agents for unlawful entry into the Royal Palm Estate sealed by Imo State government.

Senator Okorocha, on Sunday, unsealed one of the properties linked to him – the Royal Palm Estate – situated around ‘Akachi Towers,’ in the State capital, Owerri, which included blocks of flats fully completed and furnished.

Obinwannem News had reported Saturday, how Imo govt possesses Royal Palm estate ‘owned’ by Okorocha. The State government sealed the property, following the decree that “all illegal lands and structures acquired by the administration between 2006 and 2019 should be taken over by the government”.

Moments later, Special Adviser to governor Uzodinma on special duties, Honorable Chinasa Nwaneri arrived the scene with security operatives to re-seal the property, which spiked a fight, consequently .

The Commissioner of Information, Imo State, confirmed the incident. He said, “Yes, normalcy has been restored; come to the police command and see Okorocha. He has been arrested for unlawful entry and break down of law and order.”
