Obinwannem News Emir Sanusi dethroned by Kano state Governor Ganduje

Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II has been removed from office by the Kano state government for allegedly disrespecting lawful instructions from the state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje.

The Monarch has been in a prolonged quarrel with the Kano state governor, Ganduje since 2017.

There have been reports of heavy security at the Emir’s palace and several parts of the State including the government house as the state government moved to secure places of strategic importance amid fears of unrest in the state.

There’s hasn’t been any reports of violence and sources say life in most parts of the state remained normal with the people going about their usual businesses.
