Ebuka Obi Zion’s Ministry Fraud: The Fake Catholic Facade Exposed – Fr Kelvin Ugwu

According to Fr Kelvin Ugwu, the Zion preacher established his ministry under the cover of a Catholic church. That was the falsehood that was peddled to everybody. Everything they did after that was to keep and support the lie.
This is why some Catholic priests (read: influential priests) were employed to validate and provide credibility to the story. Then other Catholic practices were implemented to convince everyone that it was an extension of the Catholic Church. Rosary recitation, stations of the cross, Catholic hymns and songs, the use of imagery, and so on. For me, there is nothing wrong with praying the rosary or performing the stations of the cross.
Masses were held early in the ministry, and priests were invited. When the Archbishop of Lagos refused to allow masses to be held there, the ministry had to invite priests through the back doors. Then, on occasion, some priests were asked, particularly those who claimed to be coming from the United States or outside the country, to give witness to “validate” that the ministry is Catholic and a place to be.
The Zion minister’s dilemma began with dishonesty because if he honestly wanted it to be Catholic, he would have listened to the Archbishop and followed the procedure for operating such a ministry in the church.
We are all aware that the Church has rules in place regarding all of these. But no, he wanted it his way (which is not an issue). But he nevertheless wanted it to have a Catholic flavour so that simple-minded Catholics wouldn’t suspect anything.
Today, Zion ministry holds Sunday services during the time when Catholics are expected to attend mass. Then, during Lent, they will hold stations of the cross at the same time when Catholics are expected to be in their parishes. Then, recently, they gained additional ministry space. So, in essence, it is now a complete “church.” Why was it so difficult for him to simply mention this information sooner and save everyone the trouble?
Even more concerning is that people who identify as Catholics will choose to disrespect a Catholic priest because he attempts to tell them the truth about the ministry they attend and the minister whom they have now deified.
Everything I say, some of you Zionists would see as an assault or envy. Tomorrow, you’ll say he’s a devout Catholic; Martin Luther was both a devout Catholic and a priest.
