THE BRAVE STAND: DR. NGOZI ORABUEZE’S STRATEGY SAVES BIAFRA FROM INTERNATIONAL DISGRACE
With the Nigerian government reaffirming its “terrorists” tag on Biafra agitators through their compromised judicial system, many might not fully grasp the level of international disgrace that Dr. Ngozi Ezeobika Orabueze spared us from when she redeclared Biafra’s independence on November 29th, 2024, instead of the originally planned date of December 2nd, 2024.
Dr. Ngozi Orabueze’s decision to declare Biafra’s independence on November 29th, 2024, rather than December 2nd, effectively prevented the international embarrassment that the Nigerian government was aiming for to legitimize its terrorist label on Biafra agitation globally.
The chaos and embarrassment the Nigerian government, through Ogechukwu Nkere and his associates, planned for December 2nd, 2024, could have resulted in significant damage had Dr. Ngozi Orabueze not preempted their strategy by changing the declaration date. Had the redeclaration occurred as initially planned, the Nigerian government would have had the opportunity to prove to the world that Biafra agitators indeed fit their narrative of a terrorist organization, potentially stripping Biafra agitation of its international credibility.
Nigeria’s President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, needed this chaos to occur so he could assert, “I think we’ve been telling the world that IPOB was a terrorist organization… Now you’ve seen it.” However, Dr Ngozi Orabueze’s unexpected move caught them off guard, leaving Oge Nkere and his associates frustrated.
This might sound like a conspiracy theory to some, but it’s a fact. Dr Ngozi Orabueze saved us from a scenario that could have been the final nail in our coffin. However, I don’t expect everyone to believe in her actions. Those who continue to attack her alongside disgruntled elements fail to recognize the magnitude of her bravery and the extent of the catastrophe she averted. No amount of thanks would suffice to appreciate her for her courage fully.
