Decomposing bodies of EndSARS victims discovered in Enugu forests

Several decomposing bodies of unidentified persons have been discovered in Enugu forests on Wednesday, 28th October.

Reports state that the bodies were victims of the EndSARS violence that erupted in Enugu last week.

Some of the discovered bodies were tied head down while others were dumped with few meters separating each other.

Further reports from investigations prove that the bodies were probably dumped by security operatives who had shot and taken away their bodies in order to eliminate evidences against them.

Recall that the EndSARS protest which started on October 8 had escalated to other parts of the country, thereby resulting to violence after soldiers shot and killed protesters at the Lekki toll gate on October 20.

The Lekki killings enraged the youths, and government owned properties such as police stations, prisons, amongst others were targeted.

Series of shootings by security operatives resulted to multiple deaths, as some families are still searching for their members in Enugu.

The Enugu Commissioner of Police, Ahmad Abdulrahman, is yet to be reached for comments on the matter.
