Former aide to ex-president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Reno Omokri has mocked Okezie Ikpeazu, the Governor of Abia State for boasting that Abia State wouldn’t record Covid-19 cases.
According to a post made by Reno Omokri using his verified facebook account, he berated Okezie for being ignorant and too religious by saying the name Abia was gotten in the Bible so therefore, Covid19 cannot get to the state.
Meanwhile on Tuesday Okezie Ikpeazu was confirmed Coronavirus positive according to test results. His confirmation came days after some of his aides tested positive.
However Reno Omokri made the following post on his facebook wall in reaction to Okezie Ikpeazu Coronavirus result.
”It is almost poetic, that Governor Ikpeazu of Abia state, who said Abia can’t get #COVID19 because it is the only state named in Scripture, now himself has #CoronaVirus. Religiosity is a poor substitute for faith. I pray he recovers. Both in his body and in his senses! That a governor could utter such rubbish was troubling enough.
That his people hailed him for saying such a silly nonsense, is even more troubling. If Israel that is mentioned in almost all the 66 books of The Bible could get Corona Virus, why would Ikpeazu think that Abia, that is QUESTIONABLY mentioned once, would not get it? May God deliver him from COVID19 and COVIDIOT19!
