Obinwannem News COVID-19: US Confirmed cases hit 3 million

The United States of America has topped the list of highest confirmed cases of coronavirus across the globe.

A source revealed to Obinwannem news that confirmed cases of the coronavirus have risen to three million within six months.

In a documented statistic by Johns Hopkins University, the U.S. reportedly has recorded at least 3,009,611 confirmed cases, with at least 131,594 deaths, as at Wednesday.

However, some health officials of the United States had said that the real number of cases may be lesser by 10 times.

Another source states that “numbers have been surging in recent weeks amid a rapid expansion in testing, but experts claim the rise cannot be explained as just the result of more testing, argued that the outbreak is worsening, as shown by such warning signs as an increase in the percentage of tests coming back positive for the virus”.

US Today also revealed in a recent report that “since the first case was detected in the city of Wuhan in China’s Hubei province in December, the novel respiratory illness has broken out across the globe and the U.S. has become the worst affected country”.

Amid the uprising of the infection, President Trump on Wednesday has promised to reopen schools while calling for some protective measures.
