Enugu State sustained the sit-at-home, despite threats by the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB to penalize violators.

Obinwannem News correspondent who monitored the situation said, Ogui road in Enugu State were deserted, as people are afraid to come out of their homes, for fear of being attacked.

In addition, she said shops, banks, market were completely lockdown, adding that transport companies also were closed, as no passenger nor buses were out for transit purposes.

Another Obinwannem correspondent, also reported on deserted streets, and few human and vehicular movement in Garikokwunano in Enugu State.

Student who were supposed to write their NECO exams were not certain of write their exams today being Monday , as school authorities were no where to be found to conduct the examination in Solid Foundation School, Garikokwunano, Enugu State.

Meanwhile, The Media and Publicity Secretary of the group, Emma Powerful, in a chat with the Nation, said anyone seen disturbing people should be arrested.

It said: “There is no sit at home tomorrow. It has been suspended by IPOB leadership and DOS. Anybody seen disturbing people should be arrested.”

It noted that the sit-at-home would in the mean time be observed on the date of its leader court appearances, urging members to take note of the appearance slated on October 21, 2021.

There were non – compliance to the suspension order in most States of the Southeast as there were no human and vehicular movements across the region.
