Secretary to Ondo State Government, Mr. Ifedayo Abegunde (Abena) has resigned his appointment in a letter dated July 6, addressed to the State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu.

Mr. Abegunde is said to be close friends with the deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi who had defected to the PDP.

The Governor has since appointed his replacement, made public via his official Twitter handle:

”Today, I announced the appointment of Hon. Temitayo Oluwatuyi “Tukana” as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) to resume immediately following the resignation of Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde”. The tweet read.
