Obinwannem News Breaking: Report reveals army deployment to Ngor-Okpala, Imo State

Confirmed reports made available to Obinwannem News, on Monday, revealed a planned invasion of soldiers, to Ngor-Okpala communities in Imo State.

According to the information, about five villages were to be attacked; namely, Obiangwu, Umuohiagu, Logara, Umuhu, Ohekelem, Okpala, and surrounding communities.

This was followed by the killing of Ahmed Guluk, a Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC, and former political adviser to former president Goodluck Jonathan, in Imo state, by unidentified gunmen on Sunday.

Guluk was said to have been intercepted by six armed men on his way to catch a flight, at Sam Mbakwe Airport, Imo State. It was discoverd that Ahmed was shot around Umueze Obiangwu in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area, close to the Airport.

According to the information, regarding the military invasion in Ngor-Okpala community, there were speculations that the military were aimed at abducting, killing young men in the area.

Residents of Ngor-Okpala, were advised to be vigilant, and keep a watchful eyes on the impending attacks.

Whereas, Arewa Youths had warned they would declare Governor Hope Uzodinma, “persona non-grata” in the North, if Gulak killers are not apprehended, and brought to justice.

Meanwhile, busy places in the Southeast region today [Monday], have been deserted as Igbo businessmen complied fully to the sit-in order in commemoration of Biafra fallen heroes, all of whom were killed during the Nigeria-Biafra war.
