Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, lawyer to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB has sighted victory, as a Federal High Court sitting in Awka, Anambra State, on Friday, December 13, 2019, restrained the Nigerian police and other security agencies from arresting him, in connection with the recent Oraifite mayhem.
According to reports, the Federal High Court sitting in Awka presided over by Hon. Justice Quadri of court No 2 this evening ordered all the security agencies mentioned as Respondents in Ejiofor’s fundamental rights suit to maintain status quo in the matter with a warning not to arrest him pending the hearing and determination of the Originating Motion On Notice. According to reports, the order has been enrolled.
Ejiofor had sued and demanded to be paid 2 billion nairas for damages over the gross violation of his human rights as was perturbed by the Anambra State Police Command who had invaded his house killed two of his household and shot his mom.
