BREAKING NEWS: FG DECLARES MONDAY, 16TH SEPTEMBER 2024, AS PUBLIC HOLIDAY FOR EID-UL-MAWLID CELEBRATION
The Federal Government has officially declared Monday, 16th September 2024, as a public holiday to commemorate the celebration of Eid-ul-Mawlid, marking the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
The announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on behalf of the government. In his statement, Dr. Tunji-Ojo extended warm congratulations to Muslims in Nigeria and across the world, urging them to embrace the values of patience, sacrifice, and resilience during this important occasion.
He also called on all Nigerians to use this period to pray for lasting peace and prosperity for the nation.
