Blood Bath in Rivers as police rain live bullets on protesters
The Nigerian Police had on Wednesday reinforced against peaceful protesters in Rivers State, killing three people as many others sustained life-threatening injuries.
An eyewitness told our news correspondents on the phone that the peaceful protesters were intercepted along the Enugu Port Harcourt Expressway, Obigbo, in Rivers State.
“The police started shooting at us without provocations, we are peaceful and nothing can deter us,” another eyewitness said.
Reports retained at the moment states that the deceased have been deposited in a nearby mortuary, while the injured victims are currently taking medications.
Despite the shootings, protesters have continued with the protest while more casualties are recorded.
