International hacking group Anonymous has said it will hit the Nigeria Government deeply over the freezing of EndSARS promoter’s bank accounts.

Anonymous, a decentralized cyber team well known for cyber attacks against government institutions and corporations disclosed this on its verified social media handles on Tuesday after it said it has confirmed the rumor to be true.

Recall that Anonymous had supported the EndSARS protest across Nigeria, by attacking different official websites including CBN and other financial institute sites.

Reacting to the freezing of bank accounts of #EndSARS protesters and promoters by the Federal Government, Anonymous said, “We got information saying the government had frozen the accounts of its citizens who participated in the protest which was held weeks ago, if this is true, then Anonymous would be ignited.

“I do hope this is not true as this is going to trigger the team into a second face of attacks on the said government.

“We had withdrawn our attacks after series of criticism from the citizens, however, we were made to understand those were paid cohorts from the government. This time, it would be a battle of no retreat.

“Nigerian citizens here should kindly confirm this Information under the comment section. “Bank Accounts blocked by the government? “True/False?”

However, in another post few minutes later, Anonymous said it has confirmed the rumor. “Hello Nigeria, Anonymous confirms this rumor (Freezing of Citizens account) to be true.

“Wait for video in few hours. “Desperate times calls for desperate measures. “You should have expected us,” Anonymous added.
