Anambra South: APGA ticket should be given to a real party man.
As the fight for the APGA ticket in the Anambra South Senatorial by-election heats up, we must rally around a leader who not only exemplifies the values of our great party but has also demonstrated his dedication to the people time and again. That leader is Chief Akai Egwuonwu, a dependable APGA member, innovative entrepreneur, and grassroots mobilizer with an unrivaled track record of service.
Chief Akai’s commitment to APGA’s expansion is strong. As CEO of Anambra Rice, he has not only contributed to our people’s economic emancipation by pioneering the rice revolution, but he has also been a strong supporter of the party. During the 2021 governorship race, Chief Akai exhibited a strong devotion to the APGA and Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s vision. He was the second-largest contributor to the campaign at the time. This fact can be validated via U-AYA data. However, his services extended beyond financial support.
At a time when insecurity threatened to disrupt the election, Chief Akai took it upon himself to guarantee that Ndi Anambra South’s opinion was heard. He mobilized and transported APGA stakeholders from every ward in Nnewi South to Awka, using 20 busses to ensure their safety. This act of bravery and leadership guaranteed that our people could fully engage in the democratic system. Chief Akai provided each attendee with a bag of rice and ₦5,000 as further support. A clear demonstration of party commitment and people-love.
Chief Akai’s dedication to APGA is not a new thing. For the past ten years, he has maintained and paid the rent for all APGA ward offices in Amichi and Nnewi South. This constancy and dedication won him the prestigious LIFE PATRON award from APGA leadership, which recognizes his unselfish service and allegiance to the party.
Unlike some candidates who only emerge during election season, Chief Akai is an ongoing presence in our communities. He is accessible, grassroots-oriented, and sincerely devoted to addressing Anambra South’s particular difficulties. His policies and ideas are more than simply promises; they are practical, attainable answers that aim to empower our people and reshape our region.
Chief Akai Egwuonwu exemplifies the principles of Prof. Soludo’s disciples: integrity, selflessness, and a never-ending dedication to our people’s well-being. He is not a transitory politician out for personal advantage; he is a tried and true leader who has constantly supported the APGA and Ndi Anambra South.
Let us reject those who want to exploit our people for their own selfish gain. Let us select a leader who has demonstrated, through his actions, that he is willing to serve and deliver for Anambra South. Chief Akai Egwuonwu is the leader.
Let us all rally behind Chief Akai Egwuonwu for the APGA ticket. Let us offer him our mandate and work together to create a better, more affluent future for Anambra South.
