Less than 3 hours after the removal of Muhammadu Sanusi II as the Emir of Kano, the governor of Kano state, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has approved the appointment of his replacement in the person of Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero who becomes the 15th Emir of Kano.
Alhaji Usman Alhaji, Secretary to the Kano State Government, made the announcement on Monday during a news conference at the Government House.
According to the state secretary, the Governor approved the appointment of the new Emir based on recommendations by the Kingmakers.
Until his new appointment, Aminu Ado Bayero was the Emir of Bichi.
