A High Court sitting at Essien-Udim Akwa-Ibom has granted Bail to 17 IPOB activists, who were charged for; Treasonable Felony, Unlawful Gathering and other frivolous charges.

According to reports by IPOB legal counsel, bail conditions are yet to be perfected and activists are still remanded in Prisons. Recall that seventeen members of Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) were arrested on 12th June 2019 at Otu Ikot Ukpong road in Essien-Udim Local Government Area of Akwa-Ibom during one of their gatherings in the state.

Names of the arrested members are as follows: 1. Aniekan James Udoh 2. Prince Joshua Akpan 3. Name Friday Peter 4. Anthony Uwa 5. Nseobong Sunday Joseph 6. Anietie Ekong Thompson 7. Ndu Israel John 8. Maurice Okon Effiong 9.

Jeremiah Daniel Umoh 10. Victor Sunday Etim 11. Noueso Friday Johnson 12. Emmanuel Michael Essien 13. Ekon Victor Jackson 14. Udoma Abel 15. Stephen Etim Edem 16.
