Again, police invites Sunday Igboho for interrogation

Obinwannem News Again, police invites Sunday Igboho for interrogation

For the second time, the Nigeria Police Force has invited a Youruba activist, Sunday Igboho, after he had declined the former, for questioning.

Sunday Igboho came to limelight after giving Fulani herders in the forestsof Yorubaland, a notice to vacate, in November 2020.

According to him, Fulani herders were responsible for the mysterious killings, maiming and atrocities happening in the Southwest region of the country.

“People are being killed like chickens in bushes and farmland,” Igboho said.

The decision taken by Mr Sunday Igboho was seriously frowned at by the federal government, accusing the activist of trying to cause a breach of peace between the Yoruba, and peace loving Fulani herdsmen in the country; adding that herdsmen are citizens, possess equal rights to stay and inhibit any part of the country.

A letter of invitation had been sent by the police, to Igboho on April 1, 2021, but the letter was not acknowledged.

Similarly, another letter was said to have been delivered to him, by the men of the Police Force inviting him to Abuja for questioning.

However, it is not certain, whether or not he would honour the invitation.
