SUNNY AKPARAWA’S SHADOW GAME: A MASTERCLASS IN SABOTING THE RELEASE OF PRIME MINISTER SIMON EKPA
A video recently emerged online showing the Finnish Ambassador to Nigeria, Ms. Sanna Selin, alongside Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Bianca Ojukwu, at Aso Rock. In the video, Ambassador Selin was quoted stating, “Simon Ekpa has been hindering bilateral relations. The cooperation between our two countries is going very well now, and the National Security Adviser has been providing all the evidence.”
This statement did not sit well with many genuine Biafrans, who began to call out the Ambassador to understand the reasoning behind such an irrational comment. As Biafrans were attempting to spotlight this clumsy statement from the Finnish Ambassador, which could have forced Finnish authorities to clarify whether the statement was indeed theirs, a new dynamic emerged.
What action did Mr Aniebiet S. Archibong, aka Sunny Akparawa, the former Information Minister of the Biafra Republic Government in Exile (BRGIE), take? He utilized his platform on X (formerly Twitter) to mandate his followers not to criticize the Finnish Ambassador until they see “inculpatory evidence,” citing Nigeria’s reputation as an epicentre of misinformation.
Can you grasp the game Akparawa played here? He saw the anger and rage in the eyes of every genuine supporter of Simon Ekpa but chose to mischievously intervene to halt the massive outcry against the Finnish Ambassador. With the momentum Biafrans were gaining on X to express their displeasure over the remark from Finland’s representative, there was a real chance that Finland would have been pressured to issue an official statement if the comment truly came from them. However, Akparawa instructed his gullible followers not to call her out. To this day, with days having passed, the Finnish Ambassador has not come out to refute the statement.
Akparawa was demanding evidence, but what evidence was he seeking? A video was already public, showing Bianca Ojukwu, who spearheaded a petition against Simon Ekpa, saying the same things, yet Akparawa demanded hard evidence. Today, none of his supporters are vocal about that statement. The Finnish authorities’ ongoing detention of our Prime Minister, Simon Ekpa, is itself a clear indication that they might have bent to the wishes of the Nigerian government.
Why some still fail to see through the treachery of Ogechukwu Nkere’s group is beyond comprehension. Not only was the Finnish Ambassador quoted making statements endorsing the unlawful detention of Simon Ekpa, but the Nigerian government also announced receiving Letters of Credence from the Ambassador of the European Union, Mr. Gautier Mignot, and the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Algeria, Hocine Mezoued.
And what did Sunny Akparawa do? He issued a ceasefire to his gullible followers.
These individuals are employing the same tactics as IPOB-Nigeria’s Directorate of State (DOS). They are intent on killing off any result-oriented approach to hasten the release of our Prime Minister, Simon Ekpa.
IPOB-Nigeria vehemently opposed the Monday Sit-at-home, which had the willpower to fast-track the unconditional release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. When Simon insisted that the Monday Sit-at-home should not be cancelled to pressure the Nigerian government into releasing our leader, IPOB-Nigeria’s DOS and their e-morons fought against it, and to this day, our leader remains unlawfully detained by the Nigerian government.
Now, Sunny Akparawa and his group are playing this treacherous game once more. Akparawa does not want any drastic action which could affect the immediate release of Simon Ekpa because they are on a mission to destabilize Biafra restoration, leveraging Ekpa’s absence for unauthorized fundraising.
Why are you, supposed Biafrans, not seeing through the treacherous antics of these traitors? Since we declared Biafra, Oge Nkere and his so-called “Ogogoro Government” have focused solely on Dr. Ngozi Ezeobika Orabueze with no other meaningful achievements. Meanwhile, the United States of Biafra Government is actively sending official letters to many countries’ governments to notify them about our newly declared nation, Biafra, and to solicit their support. Yet, Akparawa and his followers are busy on Twitter attacking Orabueze. Who, then, do you think is for you or against you?
