Obinwannem News A Feature Article: Religion, Do not judge anyone, check your self-first

Religion is an ongoing debate in Nigeria. People argue and discriminate against other people that do not practice their kind of religion.

Religion is divided into three which include the Christians, the Muslim and the Traditional worshippers. Christianity is divided into the segment with different doctrines. People worship in different ways calling on the same God our maker.

But we should avoid discrimination. The major point is we call God and he answers period that settles it all. Christianity is in the heart, not by segmenting other people and being judgmental. Churches are where Christians worship.

It is divided into numerous ways such as Synagogue, Celestial, Cherubim and Serafu, Catholic, Redeem Christian Church of God, Christ Apostolic Church, The Apostolic Faith, Living Faith, Baptist Church, Christ Embassy, The lord Chosen, Deeper life bible church and many more.

All these out listed churches have different ways they worship don’t let this get to you, attend church services and don’t judge other people. Pray and live happily. People are different and we cannot be the same thing, we worship in different ways so is our character doesn’t let your church define you, God created you then you grew up in his infinite mercies and choose a church here on earth, there is no church in heaven.

Christians celebrate Christmas the birth of Christ not all Christians though. Some churches it is against their doctrine.
Muslims are another part of religion serving a God tagged Allah our creator there is no big deal in this. Allah is the same thing as God. Muslims have the same doctrine that works with time for worshipping.

The way Muslims worship here in Nigeria is the way it is all over the world no change feels free and bow down to worship Allah. And they celebrate Allah after 30 days of fasting.

Traditional worshippers are ancient ways of serving an idol before missionaries came through to spread the gospel and people started converting. This passes down from generation to generation.

This practice is common in the olden days where people worship Sango (god of fire), Ogun (god of iron) and so on. People bow down to worship idols by inciting incantation to invoke the spirit and offering sacrifices to non-living things possessed with spirit. Some people sold their belief to these idols and the practices extend to their children. Do not be judgmental, just be you and live happily.
