The United Nation on Monday said that about 690 million people are chronically hungry around the world.
The UN also said that 2 billion people don’t have regular access to safe, nutritious, sufficient food to live with.
This is contained in a statement credited to the United Nations via its official Facebook page known as the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), as was monitored by Obinwannem News.
The statement reads; “Launched today by Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), UNICEF, World Food Programme and @World Health Organization (WHO), The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World 2020 Report, calls on governments to transform food systems to reduce the cost of nutritious foods and make healthy diets affordable” #SOFI2020.
