A 34-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing a 3-year-old baby boy, Divine Eze in Nkwelle -Ezunaka, near Onitsha, Anambra State.
The suspect, Mr Onwele Anayo, was said to have visited the deceased father the previous day where he spent the night with the family.
Confirming the incident, Police spokesperson, Ikenga Tochukwu, said the body of the child has been recovered, while investigation has commenced.
He said the Anambra State Police Operatives have arrested Anayo and preliminary information shows that the suspect visited the father of the victim.
He said the suspect took the child as he was sleeping and killed him, by hitting him on the floor severally.
