The famous Yoruba activist Sunday igboho has ordered ambitious Yoruba leaders desiring to participate in the upcoming presidential elections to hold aloof (withdraw), and lead in the agitation for Oduduwa Republic.

In a recent (interview) video making waves, Igboho expressed dissatisfaction upon Yoruba leaders and youths.

Igboho, however, said the Yoruba leaders should not be clamouring for the 2023 presidency, they should instead be in the forefront of the secessionist agenda championed by him and other South Westerners.

When contacted in the video, the spokesperson of the Department of State Services (DSS), Dr Peter Afunaya told PR Nigeria that the intelligence agency would continue to discharge its duties within its statutory mandates.

Igboho said, “If not that you ( Yoruba political office holders ) are all unfortunate representatives, you should be leading us in the secessionist struggle.

“Why are you (politicians) selfish and campaigning for (presidency) in 2023?. Are you mad? Let your campaign be limited to your family members. If you campaign in public i will fight you,” he threatened.

He also vowed to kill the politicians, if they make any attempt to campaign for elections.

“I will not allow you to campaign because we will kill you all (Yoruba politicains) before their campaign for election.

“I swear by God, it is either they go elsewhere, or we will shoot them with guns from the back,” he said.

He added, “Last October, I gave an early warning to some of our leaders before they were humiliated by protesters, that was just the beginning; more will soon come. Those who don’t have charm should go and prepare and get charms to fight for oduduwa republic.”

He urged Yoruba leaders, and traditional leaders not to be afraid, but lead the secession and agitation for the Republic of Oduduwa.
